Virginia McCutchen

Virginia McCutchen, age 80, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed from this life into the arms of the Lord on January 19, 2026. She was born on December 12, 1945, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Curtis and Thurza (Shreve) McChristian.
Virginia, known among family and friends as Ginger, was a kind and loving woman, who spent much of her working life as a teacher at the Mansfield High School. Faith was important to her, and she was an active member of the Cavanaugh Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She loved to cook, but the greatest joy of her life was her family.
Virginia is survived by her loving daughter, Maurin McCutchen of Lewisville, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel McCutchen, her son Quentin McCutchen, her parents Curtis and Thurza McChristian, and her two older brothers, J.C. McChristian and Bill McChristian.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Martin Funeral & Cremation Chapel in Mansfield, Arkansas. A service for Virginia will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Cavanaugh Methodist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas with Rev. Jana Green officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Martin Funeral & Cremation – Mansfield.
