Mrs. Susan Frances Sherwood, aged 81, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, in Mena, Arkansas. She was born April 05, 1945, in Boles, Arkansas, to parents, Hiram Daniel Crump and Rhoda Jane (Ward) Crump.
Susan was a loving and kind woman, she loved being among her friends and family, especially when there was a good meal being served. She enjoyed gardening, watching the birds, squirrels, and deer and basically any wildlife. She also loved cats, dogs, and babies, especially her grand and great-grand babies. Most importantly though, she loved worshipping God and singing gospel music.
Mrs. Susan Frances Sherwood is preceded in death by her parents, Hiram Daniel and Rhoda Crump; siblings, Ruben Crump and wife Grace, Hiram F. Crump, Rhesa Kesterson, and niece, Barbara Kesterson Christopher.
She is survived by her sons, Nathan Jameson and wife Rhonda, Kenneth Crump, Terry Belknap and wife Renee, special nephew, George Crump and wife Angie, bonus sons, Wayne Sherwood, and Farolyn Sherwood; daughters, Frances Jewell and husband Keith, special niece, Patti Wilson and husband W.C., bonus daughter, Denice Jewell; grandchildren, Nick Jameson, Tiffany Lutmer and husband Ryan, Keith Jewell and wife Chrissy, Kyle Jewell and wife Manda, Gary Belknap, Vivian Johnston and husband Tyler, John Sisson, Shontyl Crump, Shawn Crump, Patricia Crump, and Geinie Crump, as well as by her brother-in-law, Daniel Kesterson, and sister-in-law, Ava Crump.
The family of Mrs. Susan Sherwood would like to issue a sincere thank you to the Wickes Senior Center, the Cove Library, First Baptist Church Water Volleyball Ladies, Revival Center, the Nobel Learning Center, The Midway Pentecostal Church, and the Greenhouse Cottages of Homewood.
Graveside services for Mrs. Susan Frances Sherwood will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at the Daniels Cemetery in Wickes, Arkansas. Brother George Crump will be officiating under the direction of Beasley-Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be general.
