Waldron's Justi Hunsucker Selected to Prestigious Arkansas Activities Association Student Advisory Council

WALDRON — Waldron High School junior Justi Hunsucker has earned one of the state's highest leadership honors for student-athletes after being selected to serve on the Circle K Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) Student Advisory Council.

Hunsucker is one of only nine student-athletes selected from across Arkansas from a pool of hundreds of applicants. The council is designed to give high school students a direct voice in shaping scholastic athletics and activities while developing the next generation of servant leaders.

As a member of the advisory council, Hunsucker will attend two statewide council meetings during the upcoming school year. She will receive specialized leadership training, gain a deeper understanding of the Arkansas Activities Association and the role of education-based athletics, and provide valuable feedback on the experiences, opportunities, and challenges facing today's high school student-athletes.

Council members also have the opportunity to be selected to represent Arkansas at the National Student Leadership Summit in Indianapolis, where student leaders from across the country gather to collaborate, learn, and advocate for educational athletics. "I am so honored to have been selected, and I will represent my school with great pride and godly council." Hunsucker said. Throughout her time on the council, Hunsucker will serve as a voice for high school students across Arkansas, helping provide input and guidance to the AAA on issues impacting extracurricular activities and interscholastic athletics.

Waldron High School Principal Josh Atchley said Hunsucker's selection is a reflection of her character and leadership. "Justi exemplifies everything we hope our student-athletes become," Atchley said. "She leads with integrity, serves others, and represents Waldron with excellence in everything she does. Being selected as one of only nine students in Arkansas is an incredible accomplishment, and we couldn't be more proud of her. We know she will represent our school and the entire state with professionalism and class."

Hunsucker's selection brings statewide recognition to Waldron High School and highlights the tradition of leadership and excellence demonstrated by Bulldog students both on and off the field of play. As she begins her work with the Student Advisory Council, Hunsucker will have the opportunity to help shape the future of education-based athletics in Arkansas while serving as an ambassador for student-athletes throughout the state.
