As a newspaper, we often report on the news — the facts, the events, the stories that shape our days. But sometimes, a story calls for something more than ink and paper.
This week, our hearts are with a young girl in our community, LaLou, who was involved in a tragic horse accident. She and her horse are both in critical condition and fighting hard. We’ve read the updates, and like many of you, we’ve felt the weight of worry and the hope that only prayer can carry.
So today, from the editor’s desk and on behalf of The Waldron News family, we pause to say:
“Lord, we lift up LaLou to You. We pray for healing hands to guide the surgeons and strength to fill her family. We pray for peace that surpasses understanding to rest over her and every person who loves her. We pray for full restoration of her body, for the medical team caring for her, and for comfort in the wake of this traumatic accident. We also lift up her beloved horse, and pray for healing and peace for all affected.”
But this prayer doesn’t end with LaLou. It extends across our hills, homes, and hearts — to everyone facing quiet battles. If you’re dealing with illness, loss, divorce, depression, anxiety, or the heavy unknown of each day… we see you, and we are praying for you too.
May you find strength to keep going, hope to carry you forward, and the gentle reminder that you are not alone.
With faith and care,
 — The Editor & The Waldron News Family
